As an active market player and strong proponent in the field of natural refrigerants, shecco's expertise is valued in the following projects, partnerships and associations:

shecco manages Going-Electric - the Association for Electric Vehicles and their Users in Europe. Going-Electric is a Brussels-based organisation created to be "the voice of all EV stakeholders and work towards a European legislative framework enabling a European leadership in EV production and commercialisation". Its main role is to steer the European institutions towards European policies and directives favorable to EVs. In addition, Going-Electric engage in communication activities to raise public awareness on the benefits of EVs. Finally, we also produce scientific reports analysing the pros and cons of EVs.

Running from 2007 to end-2009, this project brings together seven partners from the research and industry arena. NARECO₂ - short for: NAtural REfrigerant CO₂ - shares knowledge and experience regarding CO₂ installations, and ultimately spreads the message to countries lagging behind in this fast-growing area. NARECO₂ is funded by the EU Leonardo Programme. As the only industry partner, shecco has created an online exchange platform for all participants, and is currently organising Atmosphere 2009, the international conference for natural refrigerants concluding the project.

IIAR is providing advocacy, education, standards, and information for the benefit of the ammonia refrigeration industry worldwide. IIAR’s vision is to be recognized as the world’s leading advocate for the safe, reliable and efficient use of ammonia and other natural refrigerants for industrial applications. IIAR member companies represent every aspect of the ammonia refrigeration industry and are comprised of many of the world’s largest food processors and refrigerated warehouse operators, breweries, chemical companies and pharmaceutical companies.

The European Heat Pump Association (EHPA) promotes the awareness and proper deployment of heat pump technology in the European market place for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. As an official EHPA member, shecco is an active contributor to support the wider uptake of heat pump technology using natural refrigerants. With more than 17,000 staff members, GIZ (Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) is Germany's largest development organisation. Since 1996, the former GTZ (Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit) Proklima has been working on reducing and subsequent phasing-out of ozone depleting substances, in developing countries. Proklima advises governments of partner countries on drafting local regulations and setting policies that will comply with all international environmental agreements. In the industrial sector, Proklima assists companies in replacing ozone depleting technologies with environmentally friendly and economically attractive alternatives. shecco has contributed to the publication of "Natural Refrigerants – Sustainable Ozone- and Climate-Friendly Alternatives to HCFCs", a comprehensive summary of case studies on the use of CO₂, ammonia, and hydrocarbons; and is cooperating with GIZ in raising awareness for the potential of natural working fluids.
