The two-day “UNIDO ATMOsphere Technology Summit” was the first in a series of cooperation projects between the United Nations agency and market development expert shecco.

November 19, 2012: 50+ participants attended ATMOsphere Geneva 2012, which was part of the the 24th Meeting Of the Parties of the Montreal Protocol. The side event was held on 14 November to give an "Update on Natural Refrigerant Solutions" to the ozone and climate negotiators seeking technologically viable, safe and efficient alternatives to HCFCs.
November 12, 2012: Already for the 4th time shecco organised the international workshop ATMOsphere Europe, held from 5-7 November 2012 in Brussels. 200 participants from 100 organisations, among them European Commissioner for Climate Action Connie Hedegaard, discussed “Solutions for Europe” – both through highlighting the availability of natural refrigerant solutions and by addressing barriers still pending for their wider uptake.
October 16, 2012: Already for the second time, shecco was present at the leading trade fair Chillventa from 9-11 October. At its booth, shecco presented its growing range of innovative industry platforms, and announced four major upcoming conferences and specialised publications for 2012/13. shecco was also invited as moderator and speaker during a specialised GIZ event on 11 October.
October 5, 2012: “CO2 Heat Pumps in Europe Market Dynamics & Legislative Opportunities” a shecco editorial article published in the REHVA journal discusses the growing demand for climate friendly natural refrigerant heating technologies. In the residential and commercial building sector and in large district heating projects CO2 heat pumps, able to heat cold water to high temperatures, are making clear inroads.
September 18, 2012: Already for the second time, shecco will be present at the Chillventa trade show from 9-11 October, one of the most important international meetings for the HVAC&R industry. August 23, 2012: Greenpeace, the Environmental Investigation Agency (EIA) and shecco presented freshly published reports on climate friendly heating & cooling solutions being used worldwide at the ATMOsphere Bangkok 2012 conference held on 27 July 2012 in the Thai capital. The programme of the side event to the July United Nations Montreal Protocol meeting (32nd meeting of the Open-ended Working Group of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer) included perspectives of hydrocarbon cooling equipment manufacturer AHT Cooling Systems, as well as the Green Cooling Association, which gave an update on the impact of the recently introduced Australian carbon equivalent price on hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs).
August 14, 2012: The two-day conference ‘Advancing Ozone & Climate Protection Technologies: Next Steps’, held on 21-22 July in Bangkok, Thailand, addressed existing and emerging heating and cooling technologies using refrigerants with low global warming potential (GWP) as replacements for harmful ozone-depleting HCFCs and climate-damaging HFCs. Complementing the conference was the Alternative Technologies Exhibition, with shecco one of the 30 organisations showcasing available environmentally-friendly technologies.
August 3, 2012: shecco has launched a dedicated industry platform dedicated exclusively to water as a refrigerant.
