As a first step, we have made our B2B platforms R744.com, ammonia21.com, hydrocarbons21.com, cars21.com and the corporate shecco website carbon neutral by purchasing renewable energy for their operation. The “Green Certified Site” Trustmark tracks the electricity used by computers visiting the portals, the servers providing it, and the networks that connect them. All emissions created are then offset by energy from wind and solar farms.
Events Management: ATMOsphere
shecco is the main organiser of the international workshop series ATMOsphere. Our events in 2010, 2011 and 2012 were carbon-neutral in that all emissions from flights, public transport, hotel stays, deliveries, catering, energy and water use etc. were offset and supported certified emissions reduction projects around the world. For the first ATMOsphere Europe workshop, close to 71,000 kg of CO2 emissions were offset via support for an Indian project to use crop residues for creating energy locally.

We strive to reduce the amount of paper used for shecco publications. That is why, whenever possible, shecco uses recycled paper (and vegetable ink) for its official publications. A growing majority of market research publications are only delivered as paperless versions hosted on carbon-neutral websites.
