shecco's mission is to bring climate friendly technologies faster to market. We know many companies have great products but struggle to get them to market due to legal barriers, incumbents or lack of marketing know-how. We at shecco want to fill that gap and work with companies that have the products and support them with our marketing services.
So today we have just launched a new 'events management service'. This service will organise conferences and workshops in Brussels and elsewhere for various technologies. We fundamentally believe that 'bringing together leading experts' to meet face to face is key in moving climate friendly technologies forward.
Our first event will be organised in Brussels on 19-20 October. It is called 'Atmosphere 2009' and will focus on getting natural refrigerants faster to market. Not only will we talk about policy and technology but also finance. Put simply, how to get funding for natural refrigerants worldwide in order to get these latest technologies to developing markets. A message will also be given from participants to the Copenhagen negotiations.

Most experts know shecco for its work with natural refrigerants worldwide, in both Automotive and Refrigeration sectors (over the past 10 years).
Today we launch our fourth B2B internet platform, this time focused on the automotive sector. The electrification of cars is coming, however there is a need for experts to know what the latest policies, products, events and companies are doing within the areas of PHEV (plug-ins) and PEV (Pure electric vehicles).
cars21.com aims to fill that gap over the coming months and years, in providing latest expert information for electric vehicles.
We are not focusing on consumers, rather Business to Business, in order to speed up development of these new technologies.
This platform will be very important for the future growth of shecco, also demonstrating our business purpose of working with several climate friendly technologies and doing everything to getting them "faster to market".

ammonia21.com is the third of our specialised websites for natural refrigerants and sits side by side with R744.com and hydrocarbons21.com.
We will provide up to date information about ammonia Refrigeration technology and services, codes and standards, events and companies. We expect ammonia21 to grow fast over the coming months and predict to have around 20 partners by the end of 2009, even in these difficult times.
Why? because it fits a need in the market for up to date intelligence worldwide on this refrigerant.
ammonia21.com will complement the great work already done by the IIAR and Eurammon in terms of ammonia refrigeration, by providing an exchange platform for the community and fast news.

Today we launched our new B2B internet platform for hydrocarbon refrigeration, called hydrocarbons21.com.
We have been working on this for a while now with the support of several key players in the HC business. After the success of R744.Com many companies have been asking us to do the same for HCs. Our answer is hydrocarbons21.com.
We expect this platform to fast become the platform of choice or even the 'voice' for the HC industry worldwide. This is much needed today, in order to communicate to advantages of HCs in refrigeration.
why 21? simply put, we believe that the 21st century has to be sustainable and that HCs have an important role to play in ensuring that we get there.

Today, shecco announced a new Policy Monitoring service for all natural refrigerants that is both cost competitive and effective.
So what is so special about these reports that cover Mobile Air Conditioning, Commercial Refrigeration, Heat Pumps and more?
Well, put simply they are tailor-made to each company. Plus in terms of reporting they give you the "Big Picture" of what is going on in key markets around the world in terms of policy making. Today we are launching our new shecco brand. So why am I focusing on CO2 Patents in this blog entry? Since leaving Norsk Hydro in early 2007, shecco has been a fully independent company, free from all CO2 Patents. This was our condition so that we could be free to work with everyone within the field of CO2 Technology. A perfect example of this being the R744.com internet platform.
But even today we still get comments and questions about ‘CO2 Patents’. Probably, also next week at the Gustav Lorentzen conference in Copenhagen.
So let me take this opportunity with the re-Branding of shecco to make clear that for over a year now shecco has been solely a Marketing and Communications consultancy, working exclusively with CO2 Technology.
Our approach being that ‘engineering is not enough’, that marketing services are also needed to promote new climate friendly solutions. Since there are always barriers in place from incumbents and older technologies.
The re-Branding of shecco is simply a reflection of this new shecco. Importantly, however, what we have realized over the last few years is that the opportunities and challenges CO2 Technology has faced in heating and cooling markets worldwide are very similar for other climate friendly solutions.
Now given our experience and know how in helping promote new alternative solutions, we believe that there are similar needs elsewhere within the larger family of natural refrigerants, within Carbon Trading for CDM projects and next generation cars.
Our core remains CO2 Technology, but as with any marketing minded company wanting to grow we constantly look for new needs in new markets to meet with our tailor-made services. The new shecco brand will give us the flexibility to meet these growing needs.
More about these news areas of focus will follow over the coming weeks and months.
